Here is a suggested list of supplies that will be helpful for your kiddos to have and to share with the class.
Items to share: 2 large boxes of tissues (everyone gets the sniffles during the year) 1 box of band aids (it's helpful to have them in the classroom for quick access) 1 container Clorox wipes Personal items: scissors 3x3 sticky notes highlighter red checking pen 2 large glue sticks crayons (24 count) small supply box headphones/earbuds |
Look for DealsI often look throughout the summer for deals. My favorite shopping location is Target, but you can often find good deals at OfficeMax/Depot or Staples.

HeadphonesStudents need headphones for Technology class. I think it is beneficial for students to have their own that they do not share. Look at reviews to find a pair that are of good quality but are a reasonable price.

Flexible SeatingLast year I implemented flexible seating in our classroom. This is where students choose a learning spot in our classroom that they feel they can do their best work. It may be on the couch, or using the wobble stools, or the standing desks, or sitting on the floor. We change spots several times during the week. Students store their supplies in the cubbie, book box, and crayon box. Below is a link for one of the articles that started my research into flexible seating.
