About Mrs. LoosleWelcome! I'm Rebecca Loosle. I have taught elementary school since 2000. I earned my undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University, went on to earn a Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan, and finally a second Master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University. After teaching both 3rd and 4th grades over the past 16 years, I will be moving to 5th grade. I'm excited to expand my knowledge of the elementary curriculum and build a deeper understanding of the full spectrum of learning that takes place in elementary school.
I see education as the main tool we have to prepare children for their futures. I have many jobs as a teacher, but feel strongly that it is the combined teamwork of the student, teacher, and parents that help our children reach their full potential. Since it is our students that will become the future leaders and citizens of our world, I feel that nothing is more important than a quality education. I have been married for 23 years to the most patient and supportive guy. Being both a mom and teacher has helped me realize the importance of making sure the every child receives what they need academically, feels safe in our classroom community, and supported in their endeavors. |
Planners• Your child will be given a planner at the beginning of the year. At the end of each school day, students will copy what I write into their planner. We write important notes such as homework assignments, suggestions for skills to practice that we have been working on in class, upcoming events, and reminder notes. It is very important that your child bring this planner to school everyday and take it home for you to see and sign.

Homework• Homework is practice for the skills that we have been working on in class. Although it is not graded, I do keep track of returned work to help me mark your child's "work habits" section of their report card. Please discuss your child's mistakes when homework or papers are brought home.
Thanks so much for your support! |
Routines• Routines, procedures, and structure are very important in your child's growth and development. This helps students be prepared, comfortable, and understand the expectations. Setting specific times for homework and reading at home will establish good work habits and may prevent problems that crop up down the road.

PTO• Our Parent-Teacher Organization works incredibly hard to benefit the students at Allendale. Raising funds and planning events for the children takes a great deal of planning, organization, and hard work. If you would like to become more involved in your child's school, consider joining this team of parents and teachers. Meeting dates are listed on the Allendale PTO Website. You can also find up-to-date information on our Facebook page.
